In this session, we will explore a new approach to using "social stories" with the support of augmented reality to improve social skills in children with autism. It is argued that he use of augmented reality to add interactivity to the social story enhances the experience and improves achieving the desired outcomes. We present the "Airport and Flight" interactive social story as an example and reflect on improving the travel by air experience for children with autism and their families.
