مديرة دائرة تطوير النظم والبرمجيات بقسم تطبيقات التكنولوجيا لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة في معهد الكويت للأبحاث العلمية

حصلت على درجة البكالوريوس في هندسة الكمبيوتر من جامعة الكويت عام 1994 بمعدل تراكمي 3.97. وبعد ذلك بوقتٍ قصير، انضمت إلى معهد الكويت للأبحاث العلمية (KISR) حيث قادت مشروعات بحثية متعلقة بالأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة في دولة الكويت. وبينما كانت تزاول تضطلع بهذه المهمة، نجحت في الحصول على درجة الماجستير في هندسة الكمبيوتر بمعدل تراكمي 3.98. وقد تناولت مشاريعها البحثية عدة أنواع من الإعاقات مثل العمى، والصمم، والإعاقات العقلية، والحركية، والكلامية، وإعاقات التعلم. وقد نالت هذه المشاريع جوائز عدة منها، على سبيل المثال، جائزة تحدي استكهولم وجائزة القمة العالمية وجائزة eArab وجائزة eKuwait عامي 2009 و 2013.

Received her B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Kuwait University in 1994 with a GPA of 3.97. Soon after that she had joined Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) where she was given an assignment in research projects concerning the handicapped society in Kuwait. While pursuing this task, she has done her Master’s degree in Computer Engineering with a GPA of 3.98. Eng. Noura Al-Ghurair has done that with a total of 29 of research projects, 20 of which she was leading. These projects tackled several kinds of disabilities such as: blindness, deafness, mental, mobility, speech and learning disabilities. Established systems were pioneer in the area and with high impact on the education, inclusion and employment of persons with disabilities. These projects won several awards such as: Stockholm Challenge Award, World Summit Award, eArab Award and eKuwait Award (2009 and 2013). Now is the acting manager of systems and software development department
