Rukhsana Nugent

Employment Program Expert, Mada Qatar Assistive Technology Center

Rukhsana Nugent joined Mada to design, develop and coordinate the highly successful “Access to Employment Program whilst also being supported by assistive technology for each candidate. Her duties included designing training plans for people with disabilities, coach and mentor the employment staff team to help improve the lives of the candidates on the program. The program has been instrumental in improving confidence, life skills and providing each candidates with vocational accredited training.

Previously Rukhsana worked in the UK for over 30 years and has extensive experience of working with people marginalized by society and won several awards for her project management skills and design, delivery of successful back to work programs. She was seconded by UK government to help change and improve the lives of hard to reach people. One of her accolades was being the winner of “The Most Inspirational Person in UK Award” which she received by the UK Prime Minister.

Rukhsana has more than 20 years of experience of developing and delivering employment programs for people with disabilities, coaching and managing staff teams and in the last 10 years developing personalized work placements for each candidate empowering them to succeed.
