يحمل درجة الماجستير في التكنولوجيا المساعدة من كلية كينغز كوليدج في لندن، ودرجة علمية في مجال الهندسة الميكانيكية/الطبية الحيوية من جامعة إيرلندا جالواي الوطنية. وهو فني معتمد في مجال سلامة الأطفال المسافرين، وفني معتمد في نفس المجال للأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة من مؤسسة Safe Kids Worldwide. يتمتع بخبرة تمتد لأكثر من 13 عامًا من العمل مع شركة Assistive Technology and Specialized Seating العاملة في المملكة المتحدة وإيرلندا وهايتي ومؤخرًا في الشرق الأوسط. ويعمل حالياً على تطوير مشاريع للمرضى الخارجيين والمرضى الداخليين بالعيادات في جميع أنحاء دولة قطر بهدف تطوير أول عيادة متخصصة في تصحيح وضعيات الجلوس والحركة في المنطقة. ويهتم بشكل خاص بمجال صناعة أنظمة المقاعد المقولبة، وأنظمة الحركة والتنقل التي تعمل بالطاقة، والتكنولوجيا المساعدة، كما يولي اهتمامًا ملحوظًا بزيادة المشاركة الإيجابية في حياة ذوي الاحتياجات التكيفية. ويهتم كذلك حاليًا بتعلم اللغة العربية.

Phelim Patrick Quinn

Senior Clinical Engineer - Seating and Mobility Service (SAMS), Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC)

Phelim holds a Master’s Degree in Assistive Technology from Kings College London (KCL), and a degree in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering from the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG). He is a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) and a Special Needs CPST from Safe Kids Worldwide. Phelim has over 13 years of experience working with Assistive Technology and Specialised Seating, working in the UK, Ireland, Haiti and most recently in the Middle East. He is currently developing pediatric outpatient and inpatient projects with clinics all over Qatar, aiming to develop the region’s first specialized seating clinic. Phelim has a keen interest in the making of moulded seating systems, powered mobility, Assistive Technology, and increasing positive involvement in the lives of people with adaptive needs. He enjoys learning Arabic language.
