لبنى صميدة هي خبيرة عالمية في مجال التكنولوجيا وإمكانية الوصول. وبالإضافة إلى عملها في قصر الرئاسة هي ممثلة المؤسسة الدولية لإعادة التأهيل في الشرق الأوسط. قدمت لبنى العديد من الموضوعات في مختلف التجمعات الدولية بصفتها عضوًا في الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات ، مع التركيز بشكل أساسي على استخدام التكنولوجيا لتشجيع المزيد من الدمج الرقمي في جميع جوانب الحياة للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة. وباعتبارها شخصًا ذا إعاقة نفسها ، فإن لبنى هي أيضًا متحدثة ملهمة معروفة عالميًا.

International Disability Rights and Technology Expert and Advocate

Lobna Smida is a worldwide technology and accessibility expert. In addition to her job as an administrative advisor in the Tunisian Presidential Palace, Lobna was declared to be the President of the International Technology Union (ITU) for people with disabilities in the Arab Region under the auspices of the
m United Nations in 2015. On May 4th, 2016, the (ITU) General Secretary, Mr. Hulin Zhao has presented to Lobna the Championship certificate for her project “Disability & Technology,” which was ranked as the 4th in the international level and the 1st in its category C3. And she was invited to do a speech about the situation of the the Youth in Africa and the whole Arab Region. She was lately appointed to be the “Ambassador of Smart Tunisia” on October 10th, 2016. In the International Rehabilitation Foundation’s (RIF’s) 1st meeting of both the Executive Committee (EC) and the Administrative Committee (AC) in Edinburgh- Scotland, Lobna was the 1st African and Arab lady who is elected through a total vote to be the Deputy of the Vice President (DVP) of the RIF in both the Arab Region & North Africa. In December 19th, 2017, she was appointed as a Special Ambassador of the Robotics for Democracy Program of IEEE RAS Tunisia Chapter. Lobna has presented on many topics at different international gatherings in her capacity as a member of the International Telecommunications Union, mainly focusing on the use of technology to promote further digital inclusion in all aspects of life for people with disabilities. As a person with a disability herself, Lobna is also an internationally recognized inspirational speaker.
